Jamel Gaines Creative Outlet (JGCO) continues its 29th Anniversary season with our annual Black History Presentation, REMEMBERING...a multimedia production that explores the historical accounts of the Middle Passage, Slavery and Emancipation. Inspired by “The MAAFA Suite,” and the teachings of Rev. Dr. Johnny Ray Youngblood, it will incorporate images by Tom Feelings and music by Phil Hamilton and John Williams.

REMEMBERING is American history told by African Voices being Contemporary and African Dance with audio-visual elements including spoken word, music and African drumming. Join us on a journey of history, heritage and healing.
