Updated: Volunteer For National Voter Registration Day!
September 24, 2019, is National Voter Registration Day!
First started for the 2012 presidential election, National Voter Registration Day has become a 50-state call-to-action where thousands of organizations and volunteers organize to ensure our family, friends, and neighbors are registered to vote.
This year, the Brooklyn NAACP will partner with the YMCA and National Voter Registration Day officials to register 200 new voters in 2019 and we need you to help us register voters! We will provide training on the new voter laws to all volunteers.
In 2020, there will be elections for US President, the House of Representatives, the Senate, as well as governor's races across the country. Voters will decide the fate of over 500 elected officials who will help strengthen our democracy!
On Tuesday, September 24 from 3:00 PM - 7:00 PM, The Civic Engagement Committee of the Brooklyn NAACP will engage volunteers and partners to register voters at the following YMCA locations:
Bedford YMCA, 1124 Bedford Avenue, Brooklyn NY
Flatbush YMCA, 1401 Flatbush Avenue, Brooklyn, NY
North Brooklyn YMCA, 570 Jamaica Ave, Brooklyn, NY
Our goal is to register 200 people during this campaign. Can we count on you to help us achieve our goal?
Please sign up via the link below to volunteer with us on September 24th, 2019 from 3pm to 7pm:
If you know of any one, 17 years and older, who has not yet registered to vote and lives; or attends school, near these locations, please bring them with you to our National Voter Registration Day events!
Spread the word on social media and use #NationalVoterRegistrationDay and #GetVoteReady and #WhenWeVoteWeWin and invite your network to register to vote or update their registrations.
